I have been working in the golf industry for 12 years and developed a passion for golf instruction in particular. I grew up playing Junior and amateur golf in Lisburn Golf Club in Northern Ireland and after completing my MSC Sport Management I received a sponsorship to work at a Woodfield Country Club in South Florida.
I spent just over 6 years working in the golf industry in Florida and my last 4 of those providing golf instruction. I learnt my craft at the Jensen Beach Golf Academy studying under one of Florida’s best instructors Bobby Petelinkar who was my professional coach when I was playing tour events on Florida’s MLGT golf tour as a player.
I have caddied for players who currently play on the PGA tour , DP world tour, MLGT golf tour, Symetra tour and WAPT tour.
I spent my last three years in the US playing golf and teaching golf professionally. My work in Florida equipped me with the opportunity to take an assistant professional position at Barefoot Resort in Myrtle Beach South Carolina where my coaching business began to flourish.
I since moved home to pursue golf instruction in my hometown where I am the golf coach at Down Royal Park Golf Club.
My motto is ‘golf instruction for all’! I am autism awareness trained and teach kids golf to those of all abilities. I sponsor mental health charities and organisations such as the locally run ‘resolute minds ‘ and I organise free golf coaching group sessions as well as beginners and improvers women’s golf classes. I want to make golf accessible for everyone !
What I love most about golf coaching in Lisburn is the variety of clients I teach. I am a golf coach to those of all abilities and from all backgrounds. I want to pioneer opportunity for everyone to learn golf in the greater Lisburn area.

I offer individual golf coaching in Lisburn at Down Royal Park Golf Club and in Banbridge where I have the use of an indoor and outdoor facility.
We perfect the ‘5 Basics of golf‘ that provide you with fundamentals that stand you in good stead to maximise your potential in golf and are completely necessary for a consistent golf game.
I am a specialist in science of body movement in the golf swing. We discuss, implement and alter how your upper and lower body shape your golf swing and we simplify the golf swing in a way that takes away all the outside noise and drive consistency to how you strike the golf ball. Following this is the fine tuning that can bring you to your highest potential in the game of golf.
Skytrack + golf lessons
The use of Skytrack + data allows us to analyse your golf swing to the decimal point. We can understand your club path and club face patterns in conjunction with video analysis of your swing. At MBGolf our coaches have all of the facilities, knowledge and experience to provide the highest level of golf coaching.
Throughout summer months I run group golf coaching for ladies beginners, ladies who have graduated to my improver golf instruction class and multiple kids golf summer camps. My advanced Junior golf academy runs year round.

The junior academy at MBGolf focuses on year round, high level, small group golf instruction for Junior golfers age 6-14. Mark Bailie and the assistant coaches facilitate between 6 and 8 slot options per week lasting either 60 or 90 minutes. Our academy facilitates instruction for junior golfers of all levels. Some of our students have played golf for only one month, others are Irish champions in their age group, and every skill level in between. Our private golf academy has won against every other golf club they have played matches against. The junior golfers at the academy benefit from on course play , driving range sessions, sessions at our short game area and our indoor golf simulator studio.
There are no skill related barriers to entry into our golf academy. We want to be a part of your child’s golfing journey, and provide them a fun environment and a clear path to improvement. We just ask for the same commitment to improvement that our coaches have.
